London: India has moved up to fourth place in the ICC Test Championship table after the 2-1 series win against Pakistan. The Indians, who were in the sixth place with 100 points, moved to 102 points behind Australia (127 points), South Africa (112) and England (103). This is India's highest rating ever. India's 1-1 draw with World Champions Australia had lifted them from 95 to 100 and with the win in Pakistan they moved above Pakistan, who slipped from the third to sixth place with 99 points. India have never had a rating above 100 since the new system of calculation was introduced in July last year. England have also moved up in the test rankings to 3rd place after their 3-0 series win the West Indies, and are ahead of India by just one point. Prior to the Test series, India also overtook Pakistan in the one-day rating by virtue of their 3-2 win in the ODI series. The ICC Test Championship table: 1. Australia -- 127 points 2.
