The third and fourth Tests of the Inida's October-November home series against Australia have been pushed back by a day in view of the Diwali celebrations.

The third and fourth Tests of the Inida's October-November home series against Australia have been pushed back by a day in view of the Diwali celebrations in the country.

The third Test was originally scheduled to begin here on October 28, which coincides with the festival.

"It has therefore been decided to commence the match on October 29 instead. The fourth Test at Nagpur will consequently begin on November 6 instead of 5," BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement.

The revised schedule:

First Test - Bangalore (Oct 9-13)
Second Test - Mohali - (Oct 17-21)
Third Test - Delhi - (Oct 29-Nov 2)
Fourth Test - Nagpur - (Nov 6-10).
