Ind vs SL: Ahmedabad to host third Test

Ahmedabad will host the third and final cricket Test between India and Sri Lanka from December 18 to 22.

Ahmedabad will host the third and final cricket Test between India and Sri Lanka from December 18 to 22. Mohali would now host the Test match against England, which Ahmedabad was earlier slated to host. The one-dayer against England in Mohali would also shift to Jamshedpur. The decisions were taken after the new BCCI working committee met for the first time in Mumbai. Pakistan tour India's schedule for the Pakistan tour has also been revised and the venues fixed as Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Karachi. The Asia Cup, scheduled for February next year in Pakistan, has been postponed on the grounds that India has a very hectic cricket calendar in 2006. These decisions were taken in the presence of Shahryar Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The BCCI has also formed a much needed media committee, which will be headed by Rajeev Shukla. It was also decided that there will be an annual match from this season between the Ranji Trophy winners and the winners of Pakistan's domestic competition, the Quaid-E-Azam Trophy.
