Dilip Vengsarkar, the Chairman of selectors has been criticised by all former cricketers for the decision to drop Rahul Dravid.

New Delhi:

These are trying times for Dilip Vengsarkar as the Chairman of selectors has been criticised for the decision to drop Rahul Dravid for the first two one dayers against Pakistan.

Navjot Sidhu, who is the latest to join the bandwagon, has said it is a shame that one of the finest cricketers of all time is being treated like this.

He further said, "How can you treat someone as big and honourable as Rahul Dravid as shabbily as this? It is a disgrace to the selection process and the BCCI. We do not know how to respect our heroes. We do not know how to preserve our heritage."

"Rahul Dravid to me is one of the finest cricketers I have ever seen and when you treat him like that it does not send a good signal. Ninety per cent Indians would say the selectors have been foolish."

Sidhu also maintained that he will stand by Dravid in this time of distress and according to him the former skipper is one of those who would walk over broken glass for his country.
