Hyderabad:

Despite India's 84 run defeat to Australia in the 2nd ODI, Team India were in high spirits as they arrived in Hyderabad for the next match, where more felicitations awaited them.

Their victory at the Twenty20 World Cup may be last week's news but the felicitations for captain MS Dhoni and his team continued in the city of Charminar.

Along with a traditional Hyderabadi headgear, came plots of land to each of the 15 members from the victorious Twenty20 side.

Sachin Tendulkar wasn't part of that felicitation but he too was in the city of Pearls spreading his wisdom about being fit during the launch of Hyderabad's Half Marathon, scheduled for next month.

The master blaster also let everyone know what was the other thing he was eager for.

"I had a word with the chef, he has promised me good haleem," said Sachin Tendulkar.

Woman cricketer felicitated

Apart from some good Haleem, Hyderabad also happens to be the hometown of Mithali Raj.

The 24-year-old may have yet to win a World Cup but her contributions to Women's Cricket in India hasn't gone unnoticed with her state association presenting her with a car.

"It's lovely when someone recognises your effort and gives you something," said Mithali Raj, Captain, Indian Cricket Team.

After all the festivities it will be time for team India to get back to leveling the ODI series against Australia on Friday.
