Former board president Inderjit Singh Bindra and chairman of media committee Rajeev Shukla met the union home secretary and other ministry officials and urged to ensure that there is better coordination between the two organisations in providing fool-proof security during the four Tests in Bangalore, Mohali, Delhi and Nagpur.
Essentially, the ministry sought to convey to the board officials that it was keeping track of the cricket series even though it was occupied with the overall security concerns of the country during the festive season in view of the recent bombings.
A list of dos and don'ts have been finalised, though no specific instructions have been issued by the ministry to the board. The board officials, on their part, gave their inputs to beef up security.
