New Zealand Cricket has asked Stephen Fleming to avoid taking the ICL plunge.

New Delhi:

New Zealand Cricket has asked Stephen Fleming to avoid taking the ICL plunge.

Chief Executive Justin Vaughan called up Fleming, who's playing county cricket in England, requesting him to drop the idea and also the tempting offer from the Essel Group.

He also said it is a move which will not be in the best interest of New Zealand Cricket.

Thirty-four-old Fleming is in the danger of losing his national contract if he joins ICL. Apart from Fleming, former all-rounder Chris Cairns, Chris Harris and Nathan Astle are also tipped to join the League.
