AUCKLAND:

England beat New Zealand by six wickets in the third one-day cricket international on Friday.

New Zealand, sent into bat first, made 234 for nine in their 50 overs.

Following a rain disruption, England reached their revised target of 229 for the loss of four wickets with 18 balls remaining.

New Zealand lead the five match series 2-1.
