New Delhi:

In a rare gesture, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned an interpreter for his team-mate and the day's star bowler Praveen Kumar on Tuesday.

The pacer, who is from Uttar Pradesh and is not comfortable speaking English, was replying in Hindi to questions from media persons after his match-winning performance against Sri Lanka at Hobart. Dhoni translated his answers into English.

Praveen, who picked up four Sri Lankan wickets and won his maiden Man of the Match award, said he had picked up most of his skills by following the game on television.

"I picked up a lot of my cricket from TV. I also had a coach who gave me a lot of tips," the bowler from Meerut said.
