New Delhi:

Mohammed Asif's fate will hang in the balance for one more day after his case was adjourned in Dubai till Monday. The Pakistani pace bowler was detained in Dubai last Sunday for alleged possession of a banned substance.

The Public Prosecutor of Dubai had earlier on Monday given his report of Asif's case to the Attorney General of the city. His decision has now been postponed till Monday. Proceedings on the case are likely to resume around midday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that Asif is still at the airport detention center and has not been jailed. Meanwhile, media sources in Pakistan indicate that Asif is likely to be deported on Monday.
