After earning an Indian Premier League deal with Delhi Daredevils, swashbuckling opener David Warner has now landed a contract from Cricket Australia.

Warner, who rose to prominence internationally with an explosive 89 off 43 balls against South Africa in a Twenty20 match a month ago, will now join 25 others on the contract list that runs until June 30, the 'Sunday Mail' reported.

The 22-year-old left-hander was included in the Australian ODI squad as a replacement for injured Michael Clarke and has since played in six limited-over matches.

He earned $5100 for each of the matches, apart from pocketing $3850 for his two Twenty20 matches, plus a share of the prize money.

The selectors will meet in April/May this year to review the contracted players list and determine the pay structures of the players.

While Peter Siddle, Phil Hughes, Bryce McGain, Marcus North, and Andrew McDonald will be hoping for promotion, the onus will be on Brad Hodge, Beau Casson and Ashley Noffke to retain their contract.

Embattled all-rounder Andrew Symonds is also likely to have his ranking lowered, the newspaper reported.
