Damien Martyn set to join ICL

Media reports from Down Under suggest that Damien Martyn has signed up and will make an announcment on Saturday.

Ricky Ponting does'nt quite approve of the Indian Cricket League (ICL), but it seems that the breakaway league is all set to get its first Australian player.

Media reports from Down Under suggest that Damien Martyn has signed up and will make an announcment on Saturday.

Martyn retired suddenly from international cricket during the last Ashes. It is beleived that his three-year contract with the Zee backed ICL could be worth Rs 1.2 crores.

Dean Jones, who is on the board of the ICL is said to be acting as a go between for the league and players in Australia.
