Board announces bonanza for team

Elated over the Indian cricket team's historic win over Pakistan in the one-day series, the cricket board announced a bonus of Rs. 50 lakh for the squad.

Kolkata: Elated over the Indian cricket team's historic win over Pakistan in the one-day series, the cricket board tonight announced a bonus of Rs. 50 lakh for the squad. "I congratulate the Indian team for having achieved the goal, they not only played superbly to win the one-day series but they also played in the true spirit of the game," said BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya. "They have helped in improving the relationship between the two countries. It is because of them that the people of two countries have come closer," Dalmiya added. He also lauded the Pakistani government, the people and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the way they conducted the series. (PTI)
