New Delhi:
According to details, Asif, who flew to Mumbai today, took a connecting flight to Delhi but has been stopped at the airport by immigration authorities.
"Asif has a five-year visa issued to him which states he can travel to India as an international cricketer to play in the Indian Premier League.
"But since he has gone on a private visit and not to play cricket, he was supposed to inform the Indian High Commission in Islamabad for clearance which he didn't do," one source said.
The source added Asif has sought the help of the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi to sort out his problem.
Asif, who is a contracted player with the Delhi Daredevils IPL team, has said he was going to India to meet with IPL officials to sort out some issues with them.
