Akhtar visits Haji Ali ahead of IPL players bid

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar visited the internationally famous Haji Ali shrine and offered special prayer for the victory of his team and his country

NEW DELHI:

Two days before the bidding starts for players in the Indian Premier League, Shoaib Akhtar is already in Mumbai.

On Monday, he paid a visit to the famous Haji Ali shrine. Shoaib, surrounded by the media and cameras right through his short visit, offered prayers in the mosque...and then made his way to his hotel in the city...The bowler said he was in Mumbai for a personal visit but didn't lose the opportunity to reiterate his keen-ness and commitment for the IPL.
