# Sri Lanka (227-6) posted their best total of the series, surpassing their 212 at Colombo, RPS on August 27, 2008.

# India's total of 103 off 26.3 overs is the fifth lowest completed innings total against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka -- the four lowest being 38 by Zimbabwe at Colombo, SSC on December 8, 2001; 76 by Bangladesh at Colombo, SSC on August 5, 2002; 86 by Netherlands at Colombo, RPS on September 16, 2002 and 88 by England at Dambulla on November 18, 2003.

# Sri Lanka's triumph by 112 runs is their second biggest victory in terms of runs against India in Sri Lanka, next only to their 121-run win at Colombo, RPS on August 5, 2001.

# Thilan Thushara (54 not out) registered his career-best score -- his first fifty in ODIs, eclipsing his 44 against India at Dambulla on August 20,2008.

# Zaheer Khan's tally of 9 wickets at an average of 16.00 with a strike rate of 30.8 is the best by an Indian bowler in a bilateral series against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka

# Mahela Jayawardene is the leading run-getter for Sri Lanka in the series - 185 runs in five innings (ave.46.25), including two fifties.

# Pragyan Ojha (2/28) recorded his best ever bowling performance, eclipsing his 2 for 43 against Bangladesh at Karachi on June 28, 2008.

# Jehan Mubarak and Thushara put on 94 runs - Sri Lanka's best partnership for the seventh wicket at Colombo, RPS, outstripping the 52 (unbroken) between Mahela Jayawardene and Dharmasena against England on March 25, 2001.

# The 94-run partnership is the best by any pair for the seventh wicket at Colombo, RPS, eclipsing the 84 (unbroken) between Mohammad Kaif and Anil Kumble for India against Zimbabwe on 4-9-2002.

# Nuwan Kulasekara (4/40) has produced his career-best bowling performance, bettering his 3 for 28 against West Indies at Port of Spain on 12.4.2008. # Kulasekara got his first Man of the Match award in ODIs.
