Staging a stunning comeback former World Junior Champion P Harikrishna won four games in a row to win the Clerics medical chess960 junior chess title defeating Arkadij Naidtisch of Germany in a nail-biting finale.Having lost three of his first four games on the first day itself to trail by 0.5-3.5 margin in the eight-game match, Harikrishna was under tremendous pressure but kept his cool on the final day to win all the four games and eventually won by a 4.5-3.5 margin.The real pressure for the Indian came in the final game after he successfully beat Naiditsch to equal the score.The Hyderabad-based was pushed to the wall and barely managed to hold himself while Naiditsch failed to keep track of the ticking clock and was declared lost on time."The last game of the day was very bad. I still don't know how I won that one," Harikrishna said after winning his first title in Mainz.In the women's event, Alexandra Kosteniuk of Russia proved much superior to her German counterpart Elizabeth Paehtz and won with a convincing 5.5-2.5 margin.Starting the second day with a 2-2 score, Kosteniuk won the first two games of the final day and then drew the third one to take an unbeatable lead. In the final game, the ladies fought on bitterly and it was Kosteniuk all the way once again. Kosteniuk, who had a difficult first day, said she was lucky to win here.The seniors' match was won by Vlasitimil Hort of Germany who won the tiebreaker against Lajos Portisch of Hungary by a 1.5-0.5 score.In the regulation time both had reached a 4-4 deadlock.
