Viswanathan Anand is through to the quarter-finals of the world chess championships in Moscow.

Viswanathan Anand is through to the quarter-finals of the World Chess Championships in Moscow. Anand will have an extra rest day since he managed to avoid his third tie-break in four rounds against Alexey Dreev. Anand will now play the winner of Alexei Shirov and Veselin Toplaov. Shirov-Toplaov encounter has gone into a tie-break since both their games were drawn.
