World No two Viswanathan Anand had to settle for a draw against Brit Michael Adams in the seventh round game of the 22nd Linares super grandmasters chess tournament. World's top rated Garry Kasparov of Russian maintained his slender half point lead with an easy draw with Bulgarian Veselin Topalov in his eighth round game. Kasparov with 4 points from 6 games is at the top of the tables at the half way stage in this Euros 2,97000 prize money tournament. Both Anand and Bulgarian Veselin Topalov are a half point behind with 3.5 points. Hungarian Peter Leko has three points.
