Chennai Superstars scored a thrilling six-run win over Kolkata Tigers in the second match of the ICL Twenty20 Championship 2007 in Panchkula.

Chennai Superstars scored a thrilling six-run win over Kolkata Tigers in the second match of the ICL Twenty20 Championship 2007 at Tau Devi Lal cricket stadium in Pachkula on Saturday.

Put into bat, Chennai Superstars lost two quick wickets but Russel Arnold (37) and Stuart Law (32) put on 76 runs in 10 overs to solidify the innings.

Then, identical unbeaten knock of 22 by R. Satish and SV Sarvanan helped Chennai Tiger to reach 140 for five in their 20 overs.

For Kolkata Tigers, Aklak Hamid and Craig McMillan picked up two wickets each.

After the first innings, actress and model Yana Gupta's sensational performance sizzled the audience. Her dazzling performance on famous number 'Babuji' added colour to the afternoon's proceedings.

Kolkata started their chase with Darren Maddy and Lance Klusener. They, too, were dismissed early, but Subhomoy Das (35) and McMillan (25) and Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (30) were the main scorers. Kolkata eventually managed 134 for seven and lost the game by six runs.

Shabbir Ahmed, Ian Harvey and Thiru Kumaran took two wickets each.

Shabbir Ahmed of Chennai Superstars was named the Man of the Match. He dismissed Maddy and Klusener.
