Panama City:

WBA light flyweight champion Roberto Vasquez will defend his title against Venezuela's Noel Arambulet in Panama's capital next month. At 22, Vasquez (whose nickname 'Arana' means spider), is nine years younger than Arambulet. But the Venezuelan insists that age has not begun to catch up with him. "There are fighters who are 40-41 years old," said Arambulet, a former two-time WBA minimum weight champion. "I have more discipline and that keeps me in the gym," he added. Arambulet was stripped of his title in July 2004 after he failed to make weight. The title then fell to Japan's Yutaka Miida. Arambulet has a career mark of 22-5 with one draw, while Vazquez is 21-1 lifetime. (AP)
