After a splendid performance in the Beijing Olympic Games, the country's two bronze medallists -- wrestler Sushil Kumar and boxer Vijender Kumar -- met President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday.

Sushil clinched bronze after beating Kazakhstan's Leonid Spiridonov in the repechage match of the men's 66kg freestyle wrestling.

Vijender, who hails from the nondescript town of Bhiwani in Haryana won the bronze after losing to Cuban Emilio Correa Bayeaux in the semi-final.

The medal winners showed off their medals to the President and were then handed mementos by her. Obviously, one of the proudest moments for them, whose bronze medal winning performances in Beijing have helped make it the most successful ever Olympics for India.
