Shooter Abhinav Bindra said there was no need to create extra pressure on the boxers and they should be allowed to perform in their own way.

Zirakpur:

Praising Haryana boxers Akhil Kumar, Jitender Kumar and Vijender Kumar for their fine performance at the Beijing Olympics so far, shooter Abhinav Bindra on Saturday said there was no need to create extra pressure on them and they should be allowed to perform in their own way.

"I don't think there is a need to create an extra pressure on them. And they should do what they want to do," he told reporters when asked how he felt about the performance of the boxers after his own gold winning feat.

Jitender, Akhil and Vijender have advanced to the quarter-finals of 51 kg, 54 kg and 75 kg category respectively and are just one win away from a medal.

"I am extremely excited by the way our boxers are proceeding and hope they will win a medal," he said.
