World No 10 Saina Nehwal will be the star attraction in the 29th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board's Inter-Unit Badminton Tournament.

World No 10 Saina Nehwal will be the star attraction in the 29th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board's Inter-Unit Badminton Tournament beginning at PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Pune, from Wednesday.

In all about 110 players and officials will be participating in the five-day tournament, a release by organisers Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, said in a release here.

Besides, Saina who will represent the hosts and Chetan Anand (ONGC), there will also be participation from the likes of Anup Sridhar (BPCL), Aravind Bhat (BPCL), Nikhil Kanetkar (IOC), Rupesh Kumar (IOC), JBS Vidyadhar (IOC), Aditi Mutatkar (BPCL), Trupti Murgunde (IOC), BR Meenakshi (IOC), Jwala Gutta (BPCL) and Shruti Kurien (BPCL).

The meet will also have junior internationals like Sikki Reddy (IOC), Aditya Prakash (BPCL) and Guru Said Dutt (IOC).

The team championships for men, women and veterans will be held on the first two days and individual and doubles event for men, women and veterans will be held on the remaining three days.

All matches will be played on league-cum-knock out basis.
