Saina enters Super Series 2nd round

Saina Nehwal has entered the second round of Indonesia Super series after a straight set win over local favourite Rosaria Yusfin Pungkasari.

Saina Nehwal moved into the second round of Indonesia Super series badminton championship after a straight set win over local favourite Rosaria Yusfin Pungkasari in the women's singles in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Saina packed off qualifier Yusfin 21-12, 21-14 in just 25 minutes to set-up a second round clash with third seed PI Hongyan of France.

The Indian came into the tournament riding on a form high which saw her reach the semifinal of the Singapore Open last week, which was also the first semifinal appearance by any Indian woman shuttler in any Super Series event.

Anup Sridhar and Arvind Bhat will play in the men's singles later in the day.
