All England Champion Pullela Gopichand crashed out of the Denmark Open badminton championships in Copenhagen losing in the quarter-finals on Saturday. The Indian, ranked number 10 in the world, lost to unseeded Bao Chunlai of China in four games 3-7, 2-7, 7-5, 1-7. Earlier, Gopichand defeated Lee Tsuen Seng of Malaysia 7-3, 7-5, 2-7, 7-5 to reach the last eight stage. Three other Indians - Siddharth Jain, Chetan Anand and Abhin Shyam Gupta - had lost in the first round on Tuesday. (PTI)
