Sydney:

Today is the first anniversary of Cathy Freeman's historic gold medal win in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 400 metres. As a tribute to what has become one of the most endearing images from Sydney, Cathy has now been inducted into the Australian Institute's Living Legends Hall of Fame. Freeman took a sabbatical after the Olympics when she missed the World Championships in Edmonton and says she now plans to compete in the 800 metres and 400-metre hurdles as well.
