Long jumper Anju Bobby George has won the bronze medal at the Prefontaine Classic in USA.

Long jumper Anju Bobby George has won the bronze medal at the Prefontaine Classic in USA. Considered one of India's best hopes for a medal at Athens in August, Anju fouled her first three jumps, but then managed a distance of 6.83 metres to finish third. Marion Jones won the gold, with Grace Upshaw finishing second. Anju Bobby George is currently competing on the European and American athletics circuits in preparation for the Olympics.
