New Delhi: The official mascot of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 is Stumpy, a ten-year old elephant. He was unveiled on August 2, 2010 in Colombo. The International Cricket Council had launched an online competition to suggest names for the mascot of the mega-event to be held in the sub-continent.
The ICC has tried to imbibe morals of an ideal player into the mascot's personality. As a result, Stumpy believes in hard work and is always learning to master the art of concentration.
