Irfan returns for West Indies, Mithun to tour Australia
Irfan Pathan has been brought into the national team for the final two ODIs against West Indies while Abhimanyu Mithun has replaced Praveen Kumar for the Test series in Australia.

Irfan Pathan has been brought into the national team for the final two ODIs against West Indies while Abhimanyu Mithun has replaced Praveen Kumar for the Test series in Australia.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Ahmedabad and announced that Pathan will replace Umesh Yadav for the two remaining ODIs in Indore and Chennai. Umesh will leave for Australia on December 8 with Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Ishant Sharma, Pragyan Ojha and Wriddhiman Saha.
Pathan's last ODI match was against Sri Lanka in February 2009 in which he claimed a wicket in his nine overs that cost 55 runs. Sri Lanka won the match by 65 runs and iffy form since kept Pathan out of contention for the national side, till Monday.
He will play under Virender Sehwag who will continue to lead the hosts against West Indies.
