<b>Match of the Day: </b>The Gael Monfils vs Juan Carlos Ferrero five-setter was truly a captivating sight. Ferrero beat the 7th seeded Frenchman 7-6 (5), 5-7, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4. (AFP Photo)
<b>Upset of the day: </b>With the singles losing out in the first round of the tournament, India's hopes rested on the doubles category. It wasn't to be for sixth Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi who lost to Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak in straight sets.
