# Ian Bell has completed his 6,000 runs in Tests. He is the 14th batsman to accomplish the feat for England in Tests.

# During the course of his 36th Test fifty (95 not out), Bell has completed his 1,000 runs vs Australia in Tests.

# Kevin Pietersen (64 off 150 balls) has recorded his 31st fifty in Tests - his ninth vs Australia.

# Pietersen has completed his 500 runs at Trent Bridge - his tally being 543 (ave.38.78) in eight Tests, including a hundred and three fifties.

# Alastair Cook (50 off 165 balls) has registered his fourth fifty vs Australia - his 30th in Tests.
