With two days of cricket to go Australia lead England by 369 runs with seven wickets in hand at the WACA. It was a day of familiar failings and a crushing injury for the visitors.
Peter Siddle and Ryan Harris took three wickets each as England were bowled out for 251 in their first innings, handing the Australians a 134-run lead.
In a major blow to England, Stuart Broad was injured as he was yorked by Mitchell Johnson. Broad was seen in crutches in the dressing room, leaving the visitors a bowler short.
In the second innings Chris Rogers produced yet another steady knock of 54 to give Australia a perfect start.
But it was David Warner who was the star of the show, hitting his second century of the series as Australia place one hand on the Ashes.
