So far it has been a Test match to remember for Aussie wicketkeeper batsman Brad Haddin. After scoring a valiant 94 to take his team to a respectable score of 295, Haddin took two catches to complete 200 dismissals in Test cricket. He held on to the catches that sent back Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott off the bowling of Mitchell Johnson. Haddin's feat of reaching 200 dismissals is the second quickest in Tests, next only to Adam Gilchrist (47 Tests).

The second day saw Australia fight back as Mitchell Johnson (4/61) led the way to bowl England out for 136. Australia ended at 65 for no loss and had an overall lead of 224.

This was Haddin's third score in excess of 75 at the Gabba. He hit 136 against England in 2010 and 80 against New Zealand in 2011. As a result, Haddin averages over 60 at the ground. His 94 is his second highest at the venue.

For the second time in Tests, Haddin has been dismissed in the nineties - the first instance being 94 vs South Africa at Perth in December 2008. This was his 13th fifty in Tests and seventh against England.
