Sydney:Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes entered the semifinals of two different ATP tour events with their respective partners on Thursday.
Bhupathi and Bahamas' Mark Knowles reached the last four stage of Medibank International event in Sydney while Paes, partnered by Scott Lipsky of America advanced at the Heineken Open in Auckland, New Zealand.
Bhupathi-Knowles, seeded third, got past Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Pavel Vizner of Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2 in their last-eight stage match at the $484,750 hard court event. The duo next faces the challenge from formidable second seed American pair of Bob and Mike Bryan.
Second seeded Paes and Lipsky buried the challenge of unseeded Spanish Duo of Nicolas Almargro and Ivan Navarro 7-5, 6-1 in the quarter-finals of the $480,750 hard court event.
They will combat Australian pair of Paul Hanley and Jordan Kerr, who had defeated Rohan Bopanna and South African Jeff Coetzee in their first round match.
