New Delhi:

Mahesh Bhupathi kept the Indian interest alive at the USD 1,410,000 Barclay Dubai Tennis by advancing to the doubles semifinals along with his Bahamas partner Mark Knowles.

The fourth-seed Indo-Bahamas pair registered a comprehensive quarterfinal victory over Spaniard duo of Rafael Nadal and Feliciano Lopez 6-1 6-1, on Thursday.

They next take on second seed Simon Aspelin of Sweden and Julian Knowle of Austria, who had ousted Leander Paes-Paul Hanley combine in the first round.

Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq had also crashed out of the event after losing their quarterfinal tie against top-seeded pair of Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonzic, on Thursday.
