Bangkok:Italy's Flavia Pennetta outclassed Taiwanese teen Chan Yung-jan and claimed her fourth career title, winning the final of the Bangkok Open 6-1, 6-3 on Sunday.
Rain interrupted play for four hours, stretching the total match time to over five hours.
"It was tough conditions," Pennetta said, but added that she will "leave here with the good memory of beating great players."
Pennetta advanced to the final after beating Venus Williams in the semis.
