Roddick wins Nasdaq-100 final
Andy Roddick of the USA has won the Nasdaq-100 Open after his opponent was forced to retire through injury.

Miami: Andy Roddick of the USA has won the Nasdaq-100 Open after his opponent Argentine Guillermo Coria, was forced to retire through injury. Roddick was 6-7(2/7), 6-3, 6-1 up when Coria succumbed to back pain that began in the first set. Coria seemed to be fit to continue after treatment and easily won the first set tie-break, before Roddick then stormed the next two sets to take the lead. But Coria was then forced to quit after just three points of the fourth set. (AP)
