Brussels: Kim Clijsters confirmed on Thursday that she has returned to training following injury as she bids to compete in the French Open later this month.
"I hope that everything will continue to go well and I'll have enough practice for Paris," she said.
"It's feels good to be back training. It's going well, without pain. I hit the ball, I have to see how the wrist, shoulder and ankle react. It's still not intense training," added the world number two.
The 27-year-old has not played since her quarter-final loss in Miami to Victoria Azarenka on March 31, when she complained of wrist and shoulder pain.
She then picked up a serious ankle injury at her cousin's wedding in April.
The Belgium has won the last two Grand Slam tournaments - last year's US Open and the Australian Open in January. She has never won the French Open having lost twice in the final.
