Hyderabad:Sania Mirza is the hottest prospect among Indian women tennis players these days. Even Leander Paes thinks so. The Hyderabad girl is back home after a successful trip Down Under. She won the doubles title at the Victorian Junior International tournament with Slovakian Linda Smolovenkova and reached the second round of the Australian Open junior draw. "Maybe I have something because of which he rated me high. But even then I think I have to work very hard. I am very happy that he thinks that I am a pretty good player,'' remarked a pleased Sania after Paes termed her as one of India's brightest prospects. The 15-year-old is now world number 28 in singles and 34 in doubles in the Under-18 category. "My goal is to be in the top 10 at least by the end of this year in singles and in doubles top 10 as well," she said. "Foreigners can make it by 15-16 so I should try to make at least by 18-19,'' Mirza added. On the tennis courts since the age of six, Sania has a good forehand but she wants to work on her fitness and first serve. "Because I am not naturally fast, I need to work on my movements extra hard. I will do all that after my exams,'' she revealed. With kid sister Anam also showing her love for the racquet, it may not be long before the Mirza family gets its second tennis player.
