Oeiras, Portugal:Tommy Robredo reached the semifinals of the Estoril Open by beating Agustin Calleri 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-3 on Friday.
The second-seeded Spaniard led 5-3 in the second set before allowing his seventh-seeded opponent back into the match.
Robredo will face Novak Djokovic in Saturday's semifinals. The third-seeded Serb, who has won two titles this year, beat Guillermo Garcia Lopez of Spain 6-4, 1-6, 7-5.
Fifth-seeded Richard Gasquet also reached the last four, beating Vincent Spadea of the United States 6-3, 6-4.
Gasquet will next play Paul-Henri Mathieu, who beat Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
In the women's event, top-seeded Marion Bartoli of France retired while trailing 6-2, 3-1 against Nuria Llagostera Vives.
In the semifinals, the Spaniard will take on Greta Arn of Germany, who advanced by beating Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden 6-2, 6-2.
Also, third-seeded Lucie Safarova, the 2005 champion, beat Lourdes Dominguez Lino 7-5, 6-3 and will next meet Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, who eased past Gisela Dulko 6-1, 6-2.
