Budapest:Gisela Dulko's third chance at her first WTA Tour title will have to go through 17-year-old Romanian qualifier Sorana Cirstea in Sunday's final of the Gaz de France Budapest Grand Prix.
Sixth-seeded Dulko of Argentina beat hometown favorite Agnes Szavay 6-2, 6-1, and Cirstea beat Karin Knapp of Italy 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in Saturday's semifinals.
Dulko lost her previous two finals in 2005 at Hobart, Australia, and in February at Pattaya City, Thailand, where she squandered three match points.
Dulko will be heavily favored to secure her maiden title in Budapest, but Cirstea is enjoying the best week of her budding professional career.
In becoming the first Romanian to reach a WTA final since 2000, she has won three matches in qualifying, then ousted second-seeded Martina Muller of Germany and No. 5 Eleni Daniilidou of Greece. On Saturday, she rallied from a set down against Knapp, breaking at 5-4 for the second set, and again for 4-2 in the final set.
The 325th-ranked Cirstea is playing in only her second WTA main draw, and lost to Dulko in their only previous meeting, in qualifying at Zurich late last year.
