The Olympic Rings form to make the most popular symbol of the Games. The symbol comprises of five intertwined rings of different colours that represent the unity of the five inhabited continents.
These rings are white, red, blue, green, yellow and black in colour.
These rings are placed on a white background that forms the Olympic Flag. The Olympic flag was adopted in 1914 and is hoisted at each celebration of the Games.
