Royal Challengers Bangalore handed Delhi Daredevils their fifth consecutive loss in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League after scoring a Super-Over win on Tuesday night at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.

AB de Villiers, one of Bangalore's architects of the win, was quick to admit that he was extremely tensed during the Super Over after the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils ended in a tie.

Both teams finished at 152 after their 20 overs and Delhi were unable to chase down the target of 16 runs set by Bangalore in the Super Over.

De Villiers and Kohli's partnership of 103 looked to have sealed it for Royal Challengers Bangalore before a flurry of wickets left them at 138/7 from a comfortable 129/2. This was Bangalore's second involvement in the Super Over. They lost their last encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

AB said that he thought he had it won when he was batting with Kohli but was nervous as wickets started to tumble.

"I was a bit worried when I got out and we lost some quick wickets, but I thought we played well under pressure and kept our nerve."

De Villiers hit two sixes in the Super Over off Umesh Yadav.

"I wasn't under much pressure when I was batting but you never know what can happen."

When asked if he had ever been involved in a Super Over before he remarked, "Its my first Super Over and hopefully my last".

Delhi skipper Mahela Jayawardena was happy with his team's performance but was understandably disappointed with the result.

"We need to rectify mistakes that we have made at crucial moments. Sometimes our gambles pay off sometimes they don't."

Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli praised the effort oh his side's bowlers to get them across the line.

"Ravi Rampaul showed good character and which was nice to watch. It was a brilliant job by the bowlers and it was a good win in the end."

Kohli also thanked the home crowd for their support.

"They have been a fantastic crowd and that is why we have been doing so well at home" he said.
