R Ashwin is known for his skills with the ball. Against West Indies though, he is known to be a prolific scorer as well.
In the first Test match at Eden, Ashwin partnered Rohit Sharma, gave him good support and walked away with a century against his name as well.

Ashwin and Rohit came together at a time when Team India was struggling against a determined West Indies attack on Day 2 of the Test.
Rohit (unseen here)took the lead but his innings perhaps, could not have been as powerful had he not had good support from the other end.
Ashwin managed to play spin and pace with equal confidence.
While Rohit completed his century before the close of play on Day 2, Ashwin left the middle unbeaten on 92.
A day later, the formalities were completed. And in style. His century came off 154 balls and had 11 boundaries in it.
Frustration for West Indies increased steadily as India managed to build a comprehensive lead on Day 3.
