The New Zealand team is in India and while odds are stacked against them, to discount their abilities in any format would be a mistake. A look at some of their power-performers. (AFP images and AP Photo/Digicel Cricket.com)
Daniel Vettori: While he is not in the Kiwi squad for the Test series, the veteran player's influence cannot be discounted. He has been named in the squad for World T20 and if he can recover from his injuries, can prove to be more than a handfull. (AFP images and AP Photo/Digicel Cricket.com)
Ross Taylor: He did not have a great IPL this year but is comfortable with the Indian conditions. He is coming on the back of useful knocks against West Indies and will look to prove more points. (AFP images and AP Photo/Digicel Cricket.com)
Martin Guptill: Another batsman with a lot of potential is Guptill (left). He has risen to big occasions before and a chance to beat India in the sub-continent would be a challenge he will look to accept and achieve with flying colours. (AFP images and AP Photo/Digicel Cricket.com)
Tim Southee: This pacer has been there and done a lot of that. A capable bowler, Southee can test Indian batsman though the pitches here will hardly back his superb abilities.
