After a strong performance with the bat that saw India post 438 in the first innings, the hosts hit back hard against New Zealand to claim five at stumps on Day 2. A look at some of the highlights. (AFP images)
Cheteshwar Pujara (in pic) and MS Dhoni resumed India's innings on Day 2 and batted with firm intent.
Pujara completed his 150 but fell after adding nine runs to it, trying to lift Jeetan Patel but finding James Franklin instead.
R Ashwin played well towards the end for his 37 but is seen here getting himself stumped by New Zealand's Kruger van WYK.
For New Zealand, the pace of Trent Boult gave Patel good company. Boult (second from right) took three from the innings as India eventually folded on 438.
New Zealand's reply was iffy at best. Though Brendon McCullum (in pic) smashed Zaheer Khan to the boundary off the first delivery, he eventually caved in to the spin.
Ashwin soon took over and struck with his first delivery of the day. He removed Martin Guptill and followed it up with the wickets of Ross Taylor and Daniel Flynn. The visitors finally ending the day with 139 required to avoid follow-on.
