As cricket crazy India waits for that Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar ton of tons, many statistics-based theories are doing the rounds. This 'rather off-beat' one caught our eye.
(Drumrolls)This may be the secret behind why Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is failing to score his 100th ton....
When Sachin made his 10th Test century, Sourav Ganguly (Dada) was at other end: 177 in '96 at Nottingham in England.
When Sachin broke Don Bradman's record to get 30th Test 100, Dada was at other end: 193 at Headingley.
When Sachin become the first batsman to get into 40 Test centuries' club Dada was at other end: 109 at Nagpur.
And when Sachin broke Sunil Gavaskar's record of most Test 100's - 109 at Delhi to get his 35th 100 - Dada was at other end.
When Sachin broke Azharuddin's record to become highest run getter in ODIs, Dada was at other end in the Nairobi Mini World cup final 2000.
So does it all mean a return to international cricket for Sourav Ganguly for a legendary ton to happen? This is best left to highly developed cricketing brains of Indian fans to judge!!
