Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar told NDTV he realized MS Dhoni's men were in a winning position after scoring 307/7 vs South Africa but said he thought the defending champions would only win by 40 or 50 runs. However, India bowled clinically to win the high-profile contest by 130 runs. After the massive win, Gavaskar said India would top Pool B, barring any accidents or rain-affected games. Gavaskar also praised Ajinkya Rahane for his fluent 79 and said he is the next big batsman from Mumbai.
