WSH semifinal: Karnataka to face Sher-e-Punjab on Sunday

To accommodate the home advantage factor for at least one of the qualifiers, the organisers of the Bridgestone World Series Hockey have rearranged the venues of the two semi-finals, to be held on Sunday.

Mumbai: To accommodate the home advantage factor for at least one of the qualifiers, the organisers of the Bridgestone World Series Hockey have rearranged the venues of the two semi-finals, to be held on Sunday.

As per the new schedule, Karnataka Lions - who finished fourth in the league phase - would clash with round robin phase toppers Sher-e-Punjab at the KSHA Hockey Stadium in Bangalore at 7 pm, in the first semi final.

In the second semi-final, scheduled at the MHA-Mahindra Stadium here, No 2 team Chandigarh Comets would take on third-placed Pune Strykers from 9 pm.

The final between the winners of the two semi finals would be held here on April 2 at 9 pm, a media release said.
